"Issues of financial literacy: Challenges, Regional Practice and Prospects"

Teachers of the Department of financial management and banking at the Stavropol State Agrarian University was attended by 21th October at the edge scientific conference organized by the Stavropol Regional Institute of Education Development, training and retraining of workers of education.

The conference was held as part of the Financial Literacy Program of the population and the development of financial education in Stavropol region in 2014-2016.

Greeted by its participants – teaching staff of educational institutions of municipal districts and urban districts of Stavropol region asked Y. I. Suslov, Deputy Minister of Finance of Stavropol region, and the Rector of State Budgetary Institution of Additional Professional Education «Stavropol Regional Institute оf Education Development, Training And Retraining of Workers of Education» E. V. Evmenenko, denoting the importance and necessity of developing financial culture of the region's population and its formation with kindergarten and school.

His reports were submitted by the regional coordinator to improve the financial literacy of the population of Stavropol Territory Program N.I. Gerasimenko; consultant on educational activities programs to improve financial literacy in Volgograd region O.S. Andreeva; Vice-rector for scientific and innovative work of State Budgetary Institution of Additional Professional Education «Stavropol Regional Institute оf Education Development, Training And Retraining of Workers of Education» M. M. Panasenkova; head of the kindergarten № 41 combined type «Skvorushka» (Nevinnomyssk) N.L. Ignatov; Associate Professor of the Department of financial management and banking of the Stavropol State Agrarian University E.N. Lapin; economics teacher lyceum № 4, tutor L.P. Khamidulina (Kislovodsk); history teacher school № 6 of Stavropol, the winner of the regional competition for the best methodological development of financial literacy A.B. Anisimov. They shared their experience on training preschool and school children the basics of financial literacy. Most of the reports emphasize particularly the fact of fruitful cooperation in the implementation of program activities on financial literacy schools with the Stavropol State Agrarian University.

Further the conference was held in sections. The guys from intercollegiate volunteer group «Finance» held a training event for teachers of the board game «Money can not buy happiness», the completion of which the volunteers received a high assessment of their work and an invitation to the edge of the school to educate students financial literacy.
