Visit of SSAU employees to production site for the purpose of further joint work

Visit of representatives of Stavropol State Agrarian University to the greenhouse complex "Solnechny Dar" in order to establish a strategic partnership in the field of practice-oriented training of students of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources. The greenhouse complex "Solnechny Dar" is one of the largest greenhouse farms in Russia. The company specializes in year-round production of vegetables. The production area is located in the Stavropol Territory and amounts to 83.27 hectares, on which more than 38,000 tons of tomatoes are grown annually.

A working meeting was held between Alexander Nikolaevich Esaulko - Dean of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources, Ecology and Landscape Architecture, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Alexander Vladimirovich Voskoboinikov - Director of the SSAU Educational and Experimental Farm, Associate Professor of the Department of Agrochemistry and Plant Physiology, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences with the General Director "Solnechny Dar" Ltd - Lev Vladimirovich Berlin on the basis of the greenhouse complex "Solnechny Dar" in Solnechnodolsk.

The discussion at the working meeting was about strategic partnership, about conducting research work in the field of vegetable growing, between the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources and LLC "Solnechny Dar", about practice-oriented training of students of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources, as well as the possibility of passing technological and undergraduate practice by students on the basis of the greenhouse complex.

The main goal of the practice is to form a professional outlook, to obtain a general idea of real technological processes. This is a part of the educational process that takes place in the mode of real work activity, which is designed to consolidate the acquired theoretical knowledge and skills necessary for the qualification and final certification of the student as a specialist. It is an essential part of the training of highly qualified specialists in the agricultural industry.
