Implementation of the Master's program in management training for the Ministry of Agriculture "World Agricultural Markets"

The project of Master's program "World Agrarian Markets" is implemented on the initiative of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation in the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (MGIMO). Educational modules also take place at Stavropol State Agrarian University. Students will acquire practical skills at the agricultural enterprises of the Stavropol Territory. The training program in our region is designed for 5 days.

During the week, the trainees will receive training at the Stavropol State Agrarian University in areas revealing the peculiarities of agricultural production.

The first training day began at the Stavropol branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Center for Grain Quality Assessment". Students delved into the implementation of a single state policy in the field of quality and safety of grain, cereals, feed and components for their production, as well as by-products of grain processing, quarantine and plant protection, safe handling of pesticides and agrochemicals, seed production, ensuring soil fertility.

The second half of the academic day was spent in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory. Graduates met with the Minister of Agriculture of the region Sergey Aleksandrovich Izmalkov.

On December 20, 2018, the agreement between the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia and MGIMO on the creation and development of the basic department "International agricultural markets and foreign economic activity in the agro-industrial complex" was signed. The objectives of the department include preparation of high-level specialists, capable of effectively representing Russia's interests on world agricultural markets. For this purpose, on the basis of the department three directions were opened at once: professional retraining program "Agricultural Attaché", MBA program "World Agrarian Markets and Foreign Economic Activity of Agricultural Companies" as well as the first Russian master's program in management training for the Ministry of Agriculture "World Agrarian Markets".
