Preparatory course for foreigners

1. 8-month course starts in October/November 2017

The course consists of 2 semesters. The 1^st semester includes intensive Russian classes at A1 level. The 2^nd semester includes Russian classes at A2 level and elective courses according to the chosen area of studies, i.e.:

• medicine
• engineering
• humanities, etc.

Costs comprise:

1. Tuition fee – 75 000 rubles
2. Accommodation in the University dormitory – 1500-2500 rubles per month
3. Medical insurance – 5000 rubles per year
4. Extension of a visa – 1600 rubles (multi visa for 1 year)

Application procedure.

In order to apply for the course and invitation please submit e-copy of your passport (page with photo, name, passport expiration date), e-copy of filled in application form with your name and signature to iro.stavropolsau@mail.ru. Keep in mind that you can only apply for an invitation in case your passport is valid for at least 18 months after your arrival to Russia!

Do not forget to send copy of your visa and your flight details to iro.stavropolsau@mail.ru as soon as you get them. The IRO staff should know about your arrival beforehand in order to book a room in the dormitory!!!

What you should know before arrival

1. With invitation from our University you can apply for single 90-day visa in the local Russian Embassy. Once you got this visa, you are not allowed to study in any other university apart from Stavropol SAU.
2. When crossing the border of the Russian Federation you get migration card. You must put STUDIES (УЧЕБА) as a purpose of your stay in Russia. Otherwise, you will have to pay fine (2500 rubles).
3. By signing your application form you confirm that you come to International Relations Office of Stavropol SAU within 2 days after crossing the border of the Russian Federation.
4. All preparatory course participants are only allowed to stay at the University dormitories! No private accommodation is possible!
