Strong not only in science but also in sports

A team of 20 people of academic teaching staff of SSAU protected sports honor of the university at the VII Spartakiad Games of "Health" among the staff and teachers of universities of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.

Competitions were held for a week in five sports fields of the Samara State Agricultural Academy in Kinel. In the tense and exciting battles involved more than three hundred people. Professors and associate professors, senior lecturers and staff of agricultural universities in the country have demonstrated endurance, agility, accuracy, teamwork, proving that strong, not only in science but also in sports. Geography participating teams included Bashkortostan, Belgorod, Bryansk, Great Luke, Volgograd, Vologda, Voronezh, Vladikavkaz, Izhevsk, Kursk, Michurinsk, Moscow, Omsk, Ryazan, Samara, St. Petersburg, Saratov, Stavropol, Ulyanovsk.

The program of the competition was presented with seven sports: volleyball, darts, skiing, football, table tennis, chess, shooting.

Teachers of SSAU participated in all competitions! The volleyball tournament in a bitter struggle in the finals they lost to the "gold" team of Samara State Agricultural Academy. The mini-football, our team fought for the third place and won with a score of 4: 0 at the team of Michurinsk.

The tournament table tennis teachers of SSAU finished 6th, chess - 4 shooting - 7, darts - 4 place, cross-country skiing - 15. In summing up the results of the team also took into account the age of the athletes and their official status. As a result, a team of the Stavropol State Agrarian University entered the top ten, showing 8th results.

The team of our university participated in all 7 Spartakiad Games. Every year competitions are gaining momentum - commented on the performance of teachers, athletes, Head of the Department of Physical Education A.A. Marchenko. - The level of teams in this year was a very serious part of many national teams have entered the master of sports. Compete was interesting, but not easy.

Olympics participants noted that, in addition to the sporting achievements in these competitions is important overall corporate commitment to partnerships, opportunities to make friends and develop joint projects. A sport is a good conductor, open communication.
