Good practice event of the Stavropol State Agrarian University “Journey to Excellence”

On October 2, 2014, the Stavropol State Agrarian University, in collaboration with the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) presented its unique experience in implementing the EFQM Excellence Model into the activities of the higher educational establishment "Journey to Excellence."

The presentation of the experience took place in the framework of the EFQM “Good Practice" event, which involves inviting organizations interested in achieving the sustainable development to an organization that has achieved significant results in the implementation of the EFQM Excellence Model.

Thus, the "Good Practice" event is a platform for the exchange of professional experience in business and innovation in the different socio-economic conditions in order to help all interested companies to "comply with the future" - to maintain or improve their competitiveness by using the criteria of the EFQM Excellence Model, introducing innovations and new technologies.

The European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) was represented by the chief financial officer of EFQM Geert Opdenbosch, the Program Manager, dealing with the EFQM assessment and recognition Iosune Aguirre, as well as the coordinator of interaction with members of the EFQM Marta Labayen.

The Russian Quality Organization was represented by Yuri Gusakov – the First Vice-President of the Russian Quality Organization, an EFQM partner in r Russia .

Among other visitors of the Good practice event at the Stavropol State Agrarian University "Journey to Excellence” there were representatives of 12 organizations from various fields of activity from 8 countries (Belarus, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Russia, Serbia, Switzerland and Turkey).

On behalf of the Governor of the Stavropol Territory the Deputy of the Chairman of the Government of the Stavropol territory Irina Kuvaldina welcomed the participants. She noted that the Stavropol State Agrarian University is noted by a constant desire to develop as the successful high school experience can open new horizons for the development of the territory, including for solving social and economic problems.

Within the framework of "Good practice" the Rector of the University Vladimir Trukhachev in his presentation "Stavropol State Agrarian University: Journey to Excellence," noted the major milestones in the development of the University Excellence in accordance with the fundamental EFQM concepts and outlined the prospects of development of the University in accordance with the criteria of the EFQM Excellence Model .

During the event, the leading assessor of the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM), Walter Ludwig presented an independent view on the evolution of the University on the Journey to Excellence , noting among the strengths of the University the commitment of the whole team to the idea of Excellence , unfailing willingness to change and improve, persistence in achieving goals.

The experience of the University in nurturing creativity and innovation was presented by the Head of the scientific - diagnostic and therapeutic veterinary center Alexander Krivoruchko.

Participants of the event learned about good practices of departments on the realization of the EFQM Excellence Model on the spot.
