Participation of representatives of the Student committee on quality of education at the All-Russian forum in the town of Astrakhan
On 21th-23d May 2015 a delegation of the University participated in the All-Russian forum "Quality Education: International experience and best Russian practice", which was held in the city of Astrakhan on the basis of the Astrakhan State University.
The Stavropol State Agricultural University was represented by the leading expert of the department of educational work and social issues Svetlana Yurchenko, Chairman of the Student Committee for the quality of education Ekaterina Kopylova , chairman of the student committees on the quality of education at faculties - Yulia Sotnikova (Accounting and Finance Department) and Fedor Zavyalik (Faculty of Farm Mechanization).
The work of the forum included seminars, round tables, discussions and workshops on the organization of effective work of student councils on the quality of education, development of the model student tutoring and mentoring; the practice of "peer education" concept .
The forum was attended by over 150 students, teachers and experts from 15 universities of Russia, South Korea, USA, and France. Among the honored guests of the forum there was the governor of the Astrakhan region Zhilkin, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Vladimir Kaganov, head of the Russian State Cooperation department L. Glebov and others.
As the outcome of the All-Russian Forum "The quality of education: international experience and best practice of the Russian" a resolution was adopted.
The text, which was unanimously approved by the participants and the experts noted that students in the practice-oriented education should be recognized as key stakeholders to improve the quality of education and be actively involved in the evaluation of educational programs; The students should be involved in the solution of various tasks for the design and development of new products in the process of implementation of the integrated training projects.
