Best Russian student in the nomination "Athlete of the Year" became the 4th year student of the Faculty of Economics of Stavropol State Agrarian University Veronika Serikova!

On the International Students' Day, 17 November, in the regional capital there was held a solemn closing of III All-Russian Forum "Students’ Russia" and the finale of the Russian national award "Student of the Year - 2016".

Veronika Serikova was the only student from Stavropol State Agrarian University who this year represented our university at such a large-scale competition, and therefore felt a huge responsibility, because the students and teachers of the best agricultural university of the country believed in her. But the sport will to win, the experience of participation in many competitions and other significant projects of the nationwide level, the full support of management of SSAU, students and many thousands of staff of the high school of a healthy lifestyle, and a great desire helped her to win! Although the road to this deserved victory was not easy to Veronika.

In addition to excellent study, she had time to engage in scientific activities, volunteering, but the sport at the same time remained a special world for her. Veronica grew up in a family of famous volleyball players of Stavropol Territory, from the age of 15 she is a master of sports of Russia in callisthenics, and now she successfully coaches young gymnasts.

2016 became an especially successful year for her: Veronika Serikova previously managed to win the national youth public award "The Future of Russia" (in the category "Best Young Athlete"), and even become a knight of the Order of "Best Young Citizen of Russia"!

But the question, what is the secret of this success, the student, athlete and beauty Veronika Serikova, the pride of Stavropol State Agrarian University, answers: "There is no secret at all. You should just work, and then you will achieve your goal!"

It is such talented young people with an active lifestyle who the Governor of Stavropol Territory spoke about with pride at the ceremony of the annual national Russian award "Student of the Year - 2016", founded by the Ministry of Education and Science and the All-Russian public organization "Russian Union of Youth."

Our students are the most active, full of initiative, intelligent. You are the future of our country! And looking at you, I'm sure that tomorrow Russia will be prosperous and successful - proudly welcomed Vladimir Vladimirov the elite of Russian students.

Recall that Stavropol during four days was the student capital of Russia, and the "Russian Students' Forum brought together more than 700 young people from 50 subjects of the Russian Federation! The final stage of the competition "Student of the Year - 2016" was attended by about 200 youth activists. And they are the best Russian students - the leaders of the scientific, social and sporting student life who fought for the victory in 13 categories.

As a result, diplomas of "Grand Prix" in the nomination "Student of the Year of educational institutions of higher education" was handed to Stavropol citizen Alexander Khusainov, as well as "Student of the Year of professional educational institutions" to Stanislav Nikiforov from Cheboksary by the head of Stavropol Vladimir Vladimirov. Stavropol students also have won the nomination "Student Leader of the Year" - Maria Danilova and "Creative Personality of the Year" Bella Shakhnazaryan.
