Victory of Stavropol State Agrarian University in the project on financial literacy

Stavropol State Agrarian University for its significant contribution to the development of the national program to improve the financial literacy of citizens received the highest award of the project "Assistance to improve the level of financial literacy and financial education in the Russian Federation".

The Ministry of Finance of Stavropol Territory held the final meeting of the working group for the preparation and implementation of measures aimed at improving the financial literacy of the population of Stavropol Territory. Particularly it noted the work of the department of financial management and banking of Stavropol State Agrarian University as an active participant of the regional program in the following areas: organization and holding of the All-Russian exam on financial literacy as part of Financial Literacy Week for Children and Youth and the All-Russian Week of savings in 2015 and 2016; training seminars "Financial planning and modeling" for entrepreneurs of Stavropol Territory; development, testing and implementation of educational course (using distance learning technologies) for the workers of the agricultural enterprises, farms and private farms; creating volunteer group "Financier", volunteer training, organization and support of outreach activities to help improve the financial literacy of young people of Stavropol Territory; holding more than 50 outreach thematic studies of the school "Financial literacy for children and youth," master class "To be financially literate is fashionable!" tournament on the board game "Money is not happiness." There have also been taken into account numerous victories in the regional competition for the creation of social videos and students' works on the theme "Management of personal finances", "The scandals, intrigues, investigations ...", "Your finances - your opportunities."

At the meeting, Deputy Minister of Finance of Stavropol Territory Yuriy Suslov and coordinator of the regional program "Improving the financial literacy of the population of Stavropol Territory and the development of financial education in Stavropol Krai in 2014-2016 years" Nadezhda Gerasimenko reported on the extension of the regional program before the end of 2018.
