Action "Donors — to Children"

Students of voluntary group "Zabota" acted as initiators of participation in the stock "Donors — to Children" which this week passed at station of blood transfusion.

450 milliliters of blood — norm which is handed over by the donor. It is that saving amount of blood which is so necessary for those who fights for the life. 12 students of voluntary group "Zabota" helped needing, having taken the blood test.

"We couldn't remain away from the carried-out action. Children amicably responded to an appeal to make the contribution to rescue of life and health of children, - the commander of voluntary group "Zabota" Igor Zemlin told. - Unfortunately, quite often little patients are needs donor blood, without its transfusion it is impossible to cure blood diseases, oncological diseases. We are glad that could bring the contribution in a noble cause of the help to sick children". Before blood delivery children should pass some standard, but necessary procedures: to be registered, make blood test and to visit the therapist – all this is necessary in order that the blood presented by the volunteer didn't do harm to the one who needs it.

The initiative group "Donors — to Children" is valid from 2003. Originally activity of group was focused on search of blood donors for patients of the hematologic center of the Russian Nursery of Clinical Hospital in Moscow. And practically at once the action accepted the All-Russian character. Now in donation volunteers participate in all corners of the country. Among donor volunteers and students of agrarian university.
