Staff is decisive especially in exports!
The first forum “Export me” was devoted to the search and training of personnel in the field of foreign economic activity at enterprises.
On September 7, on the basis of Stavropol State Agrarian University for the first time, the forum "Export me" was launched for export-oriented small and medium-sized businesses, designed to determine the ways of development of foreign economic activities of the region.
The initiator of the event was the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Territory Andrei Murga, the organizer was the Entrepreneurship Support Fund in Stavropol Territory, established by the Ministry of Economic Development of Stavropol Territory. The issues of training of specialists in the field of foreign economic activity, together with government representatives, deputies of the Duma of Stavropol Territory and businessmen, were addressed by scientists, Russian and foreign experts, young specialists and students participated in the discussions.
The plenary session "Staff and exports - the key topic of the modern economy" was opened by Elena Kilpa, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Stavropol, who addressed the problem of shortage of qualified personnel at small and medium-sized enterprises of the region, oriented to export. At the same time in the region there are tools for solving it. In particular, the personnel project "New Energy", initiated by the Governor of Stavropol Territory, Vladimir Vladimirov, is aimed at finding competent, highly motivated professionals in various fields and can also serve as a source of recruitment in the field of foreign trade. In addition, since 2017 an agreement has been in force between the Ministry of Economic Development of Stavropol Territory, the Regional Entrepreneurs Support Fund and the Russian Export Center, through which enterprises can provide training for workers. "Forum "Export me" is a strategically important event for the development of foreign economic activity of Stavropol Territory," Elena Kilpa stressed. "I hope that this pilot project will become a fundamental platform for communication of representatives of state structures and business, exporters and young specialists in the field of foreign economic activity, which will enable participants to exchange information and experience on the whole spectrum of problems of foreign economic activity that are of interest to them."
Valentina Muravieva, Chairman of the Duma Committee for Social and Youth Policy, Education, Science, Culture and the Media, addressed the participants of the forum thanking the audience for the training of highly qualified personnel capable of introducing innovations for the benefit of the Motherland. About the fact that almost every day we have to deal with the problem of staffing, said the head of the representative office of JSC "Russian Export Center" in the NCFD Yuri Serbin, who wished the forum members fruitful discussions.
Vice-rector for educational and educational work of Stavropol State University Ivan Atanov told how one of the best agrarian universities of the country can integrate into the international educational and scientific space and what results the university has achieved to date. Students take advantage of the opportunities provided by the State Agrarian University in terms of obtaining a second education, studying foreign languages, participating in various international projects, passing agricultural practices in Europe, etc. Turning to potential employers of future farmers, Ivan Vyacheslavovich urged them to more actively contribute to the organization internships at the enterprises of the agro-industrial complex of the region for undergraduates. "After all, the quality of the education we receive is, first of all, the demand for our graduates," said I. V. Atanov.
Vasily Yerokhin, a graduate of Stavropol State Agrarian University, currently associate professor at the Institute of Economics and Management of the University of Harbin, China, spoke competencies which are lacking for representatives of the current generation of foreign trade specialists. According to the expert, they do not have enough competencies in the field of leadership, innovation, risk management, strategic thinking and commitment to continuous improvement. It is gratifying that this sounded vector actually coincides with the strategy of Stavropol State Agrarian University having the most significant arsenal of awards in the field of quality in Russia and Europe and preparing the leaders of the agricultural sector.
How important the personnel of foreign economic activity in the region is, said Kirill Kuzmin, the representative for the protection of the rights of entrepreneurs in Stavropol Territory. He emphasized that unlike the abundance of innovative technologies that sometimes replace a person, specialists in foreign economic activity are representatives of a new type of thinking which is difficult to replace with robots, since this work is impossible without successful communication. Addressing the graduates, Igor Bachmanov, Director of Sales Department of Shokoland LLC, confirmed the possibility of a successful professional career for specialists in foreign economic activity of the enterprise, stating: "Career growth in the field of foreign trade is not just possible, it is huge!".
Two thematic sections "Effective conducting export activity in the territory of the regions: skills and practical solutions", "Problems of staffing in the field of foreign economic activity" were operating at the forum. During the sectional sessions, the participants sought answers to questions in the sphere of interaction between the education system and the labor market, improving the personnel management system in foreign economic activity. Natalia Bannikova, Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and World Economy of the Economics Faculty, Olga Lisova, Director of the Institute for Further Professional Education, and Svyatoslav Serikov, Manager of the International Relations Department, took part in the discussions at Stavropol State Agrarian University.
Within the framework of the "Export me" forum, there was a job fair "Career Day", in which 11 enterprises of the region participated in foreign economic activities. Employees of personnel services talked with graduate students of Stavropol universities, demonstrated their companies' presentations, offered options for possible employment, and organized orientation tours to the production.
