Agrarian University opened it’s doors For the Week of Innovation
From 22 to 26 of May there is the Innovation Week – 2017 in Stavropol Region, organized by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Stavropol Territory and the autonomous non-profit organization Agency for Strategic Initiatives. Communication of different formats within the framework of the Week was provided by the Agrarian University.
The program of the Week of Innovation was foreseen for its start in the Center for Youth Creativity FabLab "Vector", located at the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization of StGAU. It was here on the first day of the Week, in real time, the open area of a public school-wide video lesson for schoolchildren unfolded. The speaker was Dmitry Sudakov, the leader of Moscow School educational program of Management Skolkovo, a leading expert of the project of developing methods of forecasting the need for workforce (Skills Technology Foresight, in conjunction with the International Labor Organization), the project manager "Atlas of new professions."
24 of May on Lenin Square, the students of Universities and young people who are studying at the Centers for Youth Innovation Creativity in the region presented their recent developments. The governor of the Stavropol Region, Vladimir Vladimirov, paid much attention to the samples of young engineers. On this day, the winners of all-Russian competitions were able to talk with the first face of the region, including the third-year student of the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization of StGAU Alexander Korolyov, the leader of the country in the nomination "Prototyping" of the V National Championship "Young Professionals" (WorldSkills Russia).
Within the framework of the Innovation Week, a seminar "Innovations in regional livestock production" and a master class "Conducting SNP genotyping in farm animals" were held at the faculties of veterinary medicine and technological management.
The aim of the events was the study of world experience of innovative development of livestock and veterinary, problems in the implementation of innovative projects at the regional level and ways to solve them, as well as attract investment for high-tech projects. Representatives of the scientific and expert community, the manufacturing sector, business and students visited the innovative sites of the Scientific Diagnostic and Treatment and Veterinary Center and in the research laboratories of the faculties. Actual problems in the framework of the workshop and master class were called to coordinate efforts on the prospects of sustainable development of Russian livestock and the implementation of import substitution programs with the aim of improving the economic well-being of the Stavropol Territory.
Over the past year, a confident step forward in the region's investment policy has taken a vector in innovative production, and this trend should not only be preserved but also strengthened. Innovations are very much needed today in the Russian Federation, and in the Stavropol Territory in particular. Therefore, it is important that new ideas become a good foundation for their own development, business development, the development of the entire region and our country.
