Agricultural trends were discussed
In the Stavropol State Agrarian University, a traditional winter conference "New Horizons of winners" was held; it was implemented in cooperation with long-time strategic partner - the company «Syngenta».
The event was opened by the head of territorial subdivision in Stavropol OOO "Syngenta" Sergey Aristov, followed by a welcoming speech by the director of the region "South" OOO "Syngenta" Alexei V. Dmitrienko. They noted the important role of cooperation for the development of agricultural science and agricultural production in our country. According to the partners, maximizing the potential of genetics, adapted production technologies, best practices and a better knowledge of the market, joint efforts can increase the profitability of agriculture in Russia.
On behalf of the Rector of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, Academician of Russian Academy of Sciences Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhacheva conference participants were welcomed by the Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, Associate Professor Vitaly Y. Morozov. He thanked the representatives of the company for a long-term, mutually beneficial cooperation with the faculties of Agrobiology and land resources and ecology and landscape architecture, related to research and scholarship programs.
The conference was attended by Professor RAS Alexander N. Esaulko, Dean of the Faculty Agrobiology and land resources and ecology and landscape architecture, as well as teachers of the leading departments and students studying at the direction "Agriculture". In addition, representatives of the republics of the North Caucasus Federal District and 26 districts of the Stavropol Territory participated in the event.
During the conference, Stavropol State Agrarian University served as platform for discussion of trends in the field of agriculture, new technological solutions, risk management. Leading experts shared information about the quality of Russian grain, innovative activities of the company, presented new crop protection agents, including the cultivation of sunflower and maize, discussed the phytosanitary situation related to crops.
The head of the group of technical experts on the crops of "Syngenta" Mariya Mustafina gave details about a new product “Amistar Combi”. The unique offer "Amistar Combi: protection takeaway" serves to protect the winter wheat crop in the period of its formation.
Now insektogerbitside segment is growing rapidly, taking share from net herbicides and insecticides, and "Syngenta" is its main driver. Andrey Sotnikov, technical expert of the company, paid much attention to this direction in his speech: "Herbicides and insecticides on grain. Saving of the yield and grain quality. " He presented to the audience ready solutions.
As a leader in sales of sunflower seeds and corn on the Russian market, the company "Syngenta" set the task to provide Russian consumers with high-yielding hybrids adapted to the specific conditions of cultivation. Selection and development of new hybrids in 2017 is one of the priorities in the work of "Syngenta". The range of products offered is updated annually, Ivan Afanasyev, technical expert for sunflower and Fesechko Vsevolod, strategic customer manager, informed the audience about the novelties.
Summarizing the work of the winter conference of "Syngenta", quality manager of application of plant protection products Ovsiyenko Eugene noted the importance of the optimal solution for their application. He also noted that at each event staff not only present hybrids and range of crop protection of the company, but also respond to customer questions, provide technical advice on various aspects of the cultivation of field crops, ranging from planting and ending with cleaning. During "face to face" communication representatives of the company and customers share information on the results and production experience under the conditions of a specific region in the implementation of different technologies.
