Public control – in the center of an open dialogue

A meeting of the members of the Presidential Council of the Russian Federation on development of civil society and human rights, headed by Mikhail Fedotov with representatives of NGOs of Stavropol region, civic activists, volunteers, students, journalists of Federal and regional mass media took place on 9 November in the hall of the Academic Council of the Stavropol GAU.

Opening the meeting, the Deputy Chairman of the Government of Stavropol territory Irina kuvaldina expressed the words of thanks from the Governor Vladimir Vladimirov and the regional government for the attention of the members of the HRC and personally to Mikhail Fedotov.

Also Irina Vladimirovna thanked for the traditional hospitality of the Rector of the agrarian University Vladimir Trukhachev, congratulating him on his recent election to academics. Describing the Stavropol State Agrarian University, Deputy Chairman of the regional government, called the University a "pearl" of the region: "This is the University that is a leader in many areas in the country. Stavropol State Agricultural University has an excellent record for academic, scientific work, a huge number of awards, sports achievements, there is active student self-government and the development of the volunteer movement. Agricultural University is not only education center, but also the whole socio-cultural space in which a student can receive an excellent education and prove themselves in sport, culture, public activity."
