Workers of agriculture of Stavropol region will be taught how not to get caught on the financial tricks of swindlers

Education program for improving the financial literacy of workers of the agricultural enterprises, farms and private farms began in Stavropol Region on September 6, 2016. Employees of the Institute of additional professional education of Stavropol State Agrarian University presented it to the first twenty-five students. Among them there are the staff of the closed joint-stock company "Farm named after Kirov" and individual entrepreneurs of Trunovsky region.

For ten days, the teachers of Economic and Accounting and Finance Department of Stavropol State Agrarian University intend to develop in AIC employees reasonable behavior in the sphere of monetary circulation. They will talk about the features of drawing up personal and family budgets, business plans and be acquainted with the rules of rational choice of loans and advances, conduct on the agricultural insurance market. A separate topic of the program is how not to get caught on the financial tricks of swindlers.

Training takes place in two stages. At first, students will remotely examine the theoretical material, complete tasks for intermediate certification. At the stage of full-time study on 15 and 16 September, they will have to practice to form the habit of rational financial behavior. After the final certification they will be awarded certificates of advanced training.

University teachers who prepared the curriculum will analyze the results of the work and, if necessary, correct it, and then apply to increase the level of financial literacy of another 300 workers of the agricultural enterprises, farms and private farms of the region.

The program was developed in the framework of the contract signed by the University with Moscow Foundation for Enterprise Restructuring and Financial Institutions Development. Training of agricultural workers is carried out in the framework of the project of the Ministry of Finance of the country and the World Bank "Assistance to improve the financial literacy of the population and the development of financial education in the Russian Federation."
