Rectors of the agrarian universities of the country discussed agribusiness needs of young cadres

Rector of SSAU V.I. Trukhachev participated in a meeting chaired by Russian Minister of Agriculture A. N. Tkachev with rectors of agricultural universities on the state and prospects of development of the higher education institutions of Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.

The meeting was attended by rectorss of all 54 agricultural universities.

Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation noted that agricultural universities have a huge responsibility for the staffing of the country's agro-industrial complex. "The Ministry is interested in the development and establishment of agricultural universities, defining them as research, business or industry support. Quality education is a fundamental factor for the development of agriculture and for the country as a whole ", - said A. N. Tkachev.

Participants of the meeting discussed the key issues of agricultural universities, the actions for the development of the Strategy of development of agricultural education, program development of industry leading educational institutions of higher education, as well as issues of professional public accreditation of educational programs.

As the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, it was noted during the meeting that the employers have expressed interest in cooperation with agricultural universities. In 2016, the expected release of professionals trained at the expense of the federal budget, will be 26 thousand people. It should fully cover the needs of the agro-industrial complex in the young cadres.
