At the Institute of additional professional education of the Stavropol State Agrarian University training in the application of information technology in the management of the animal husbandry and stock breeding of information-analytical system "SELEX" was conducted.
There were 27 listeners of animal husbandry and breeding fieldworkers of the program of additional education in the Stavropol region.
The lessons are organized for three groups of listeners. In the two of them the specialists of agricultural enterprises upgrade their skills, engaged in the breeding of cattle for meat and milk directions. A separate group of listeners were sheep farmers in the Stavropol region.
The aim of training consists in the development of modern methods of management selection and breeding work on the basis of application of information-analytical system "SELEX". The sessions involved teachers-developers of this computer technology from the regional centre of information support of livestock breeding in the Leningrad region "PLINOR" from St. Petersburg, candidate of agricultural sciences D.V. Mikhailov and senior technician K.M. Popovskaya.
29 specialists have already been trained in the techniques of recording, specifics of housing, feeding, breeding and genetic features of breeding animals of beef and dairy areas with the help of information-analytical system "SELEX". Currently classes continue 20 sheep breeders of the region.
Following the training all participants will be issued with documents on additional education that will allow them to apply their knowledge for improving the efficiency of breeding work, productivity and quality of farmed species.
