Rector of Stavropol State Agrarian University, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor V.I. Trukhachev attended a meeting of the Council of Rectors of leading agricultural universities of the CIS countries, which was held in the framework of the celebrations dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Russian State Agrarian University - Moscow Agricultural Academy named after Timiryazev.

During the meeting it has been defined the program of the Council for the following year, as well as the election of its chairman. Rector of RSAU named after Timiryazev Academician V.M. Lukomets was elected as a chairman.

Also as part of celebrations there was held canceling of postage stamp dedicated to the anniversary of the opening of the memorial plaque to Alexander II, a solemn meeting and festive program at the State Kremlin Palace.
