Meeting with agricultural producers was held in the SSAU

On September 18, 2015 at the Stavropol State Agrarian University first Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation E. V. Gromyko in the presence of the Governor of Stavropol region Vladimir Vladimirov has held a meeting with the heads of agricultural organizations and scientific institutions of Stavropol region "On support of small entrepreneurship in rural areas of the Stavropol region".

E. V. Gromyko has acquainted the audience with the position of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia on the issue of amending the legislation of the Russian Federation regarding regulation of private farming and new veterinary rules aimed at regulating the unfavorable situation on the occurrence and spread of contagious and highly dangerous animal diseases and non-contagious animal diseases on the territory of the Russian Federation. Significant contribution of small farms in the rural development in Russia and Stavropol Region was also mentioned.

A report: "On support of small entrepreneurship in rural areas in the Stavropol region" was made by the Director of the Department of rural development and social policy, the Ministry of Agriculture D. I. Toropov.

In his speech, the head of Department mentioned the issues of relations regulations in private subsidiary economy, related to the limitations of the number of farm animals and poultry. Noted the responsibility of executive authorities of the Russian Federation and local self-government bodies for the monitoring of the current legislation in terms of performance of veterinary preventive and anti-epidemic activities in the field of assurance of epizootic and veterinary health and well-being. Reported about the progress in the implementation of measures to support young farmers and the development of family livestock farms in Russia, in the North Caucasian Federal District and in the Stavropol region.

Issues related with the possibility of limiting the prices growth for fuel and mineral fertilizers, on customs regulation of grain export, ensuring the design capacity of the backbone, distributive channels of the Federal meliorative network of the Stavropol region, percentage decrease of crops loss in agricultural insurance, certification of seeds for genetically modified organisms,the production and processing of lamb in the Stavropol region, state support for the production of fine and semi-fine wool were also discussed.
