"Blue Ribbon" on the International Day of Water

A vivid example of the interest of students of the Faculty of Ecology and Landscape Architecture in solving issues of water resources protection was the initiative to participate in an educational campaign.

It is known that 20% of the world fresh water reserves are concentrated in the territory of our country. In Russia there are more than 2.5 million rivers and more than 2 million lakes. In Stavropol there are more than 200 rivers and rivers, most of them belong to small rivers. But whatever they were - small or large, stale or warm, fresh or salty - is the real wealth of the Stavropol region, but many of them are polluted.

In order to draw attention to the problems related to water resources, on March 22, on the International Day of Water, the students of the 1-4 courses of the Faculty of Ecology and Landscape Architecture of the Stavropol State Agrarian University took an active part in the "Blue Ribbon" campaign. Leaflets with information about World Water Day and the problem uniting people of the planet, as well as blue ribbons, symbolizing the protection of natural waters, they gave out to residents of Stavropol. Students Zosimova S. (1 course) and Samodurova A. (4 year), as part of the educational work, held talks about the ecological state of water resources in Russia and the Stavropol Territory. Freshmen Aushev I., Golubovsky I., Gonchar D., Gorbatenko L., Zhuravlyova D., Zavorotynskaya V., Zakrevsky K., Kachan D., Knestikova M., Kolesnichenko G., Kuleshov I., Nakhusheva M., Samoilenko D., Sokolenko V., Churikov P. (directions "Ecology and Nature Management") together with the Regional Center for Ecology, Tourism and Local History, organized a flashmob "Blue Ribbon". Students of the Faculty of Ecology and Landscape Architecture consider it necessary to make their own contribution to the formation of a careful attitude to water. This allows not only to preserve our rivers and lakes for future generations, but also increases the economic efficiency of nature management.
