Agrarian University welcomes freshmen

Beginning of the school year, Stavropol State Agrarian University celebrated with the parade of achievements. And it was worth seeing: it is a procession of student teams "Kolos", "Dr. Powderpill", "Mechta", "Masterok", "Ozelenitel," "Tolk," which are included in the combined unit of the University, "Agrary", and skill of jockeys of equestrian school. The parade of modern agricultural machinery and the passage along the red carpet guys have filled in the last academic year the treasury of scientific and athletic achievements of the University.

But the main event of the festival was the ceremony of dedication in freshmen. This year, more than a thousand high school graduates have made their choice in favor of the Agrarian University and, having sustained a serious competition, came in SSAU. Today, in the University there are 18,500 students, making it one of the largest in the North Caucasus Federal District.

Guys, just joined the ranks of the student body, took a symbolic "Fire of Knowledge" from the seniors and said "Oath of freshman." After the Rector of the University, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Vladimir Trukhachev handed to freshmen a symbolic key to the temple of Education, student card and gradebook.

At the end of the ceremony the Rector of the University Vladimir Trukhachev handed checkbooks in one million rubles to student scientific society, centers of aesthetic education of students and university sports club. This fund will be used to support and develop student activities.

The celebration of the Knowledge Day will be finished by evening concert of creative collectives of Agrarian University.
