Students of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land were made in the Duma of Stavropol Territory.

On January 20th Stavropol celebrated the 74th anniversary of the liberation of our land from the Nazi invaders. The capital of Stavropol Region was in the occupation of 170 days and was released in the first month of 1943. The event "The sacred memory forever keep in our hearts", dedicated to this historic date, attended by Duma Speaker Gennady Yagubov, Chairman of the Cossacks, the Duma Security Committee, Interparliamentary Relations and Public Associations Yuri Gontar, heads of ministries and departments, representatives of public organizations and the academic community, students and pupils, as well as the head of the Council of Elders at the chairman of the Duma of Stavropol Territory Alexei Gonochenko.

- Today the task of all governments with the social activists is to keep the memory of our compatriots, the true heroes who did not spare his life for the freedom of future generations. It is our duty - to convey the memory of our youth, instill in them the love and respect for the Fatherland, - said G. Yagubov.

The Chairman of the Council of Elders, the Head of Region veteran organization Alexei Gonochenko reported that on the eve of the older generation anniversary of the liberation of Stavropol people in spite of his advanced years held more than 400 meetings with students of educational institutions of the region. The Deputy Yuri Gontar believes it is important to use a copy of the Victory Banner at public events and the Council of Elders member Beniamin Gosdanker urged to remember the fate of not only soldiers, but also of those who forged victory in the rear: women, children, youth.

From the Stavropol State Agrarian University the students of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Yulia Echevskaya, Ksenia Goncharovskiy and Lolita Isikova attended. The audience was shown the report of the student K. Goncharovskaya, prepared under the supervision of the Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor of Philosophy and History of SSAU Inna Kravchenko «Stavropol Liberation from Nazi invaders», accompanied by the presentation of a number of historical photographs.
