As part of the stavropol youth parliament - a representative of the agricultural student community
A new composition of the Youth Parliament has been formed at the Duma of the Stavropol Territory, within two years its members will represent the interests of the region's youth in the highest legislative body of the region.
In April 11 the chairman of the competition commission, the first Deputy Speaker of the regional Duma, Dmitry Sudavtsov, announced the results of interviews with candidates held during March-April 2017. In total, 106 applications were submitted for participation in the contest, and 89 people nominated their own candidates.
Among the contestants are students, teachers, lawyers, engineers, entrepreneurs, youth workers, young leaders, deputies' assistants and etc. All of them submitted legislative and socially significant projects to the court that touched upon the issues of youth policy, patriotic education, environmental protection and the development of mass sports. Interviews also showed that competitors are worried about the development of rural areas, the protection of public health and public order, the development of youth parliamentarism and entrepreneurship.
As a result, 50 people were elected as members of the Youth Parliament, among them there is a student of the Economics Department of SSAU Yakhyaev Islam. Another student of the Agrarian University, studying at the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources, Igor Zemlin joined the reserve of the Youth Parliament.
The newly formed Youth Parliament will soon begin its work at the end of April. The main strategy of a consultative and advisory body, carrying out its activities on a voluntary basis, is the development of the youth policy of the Stavropol Territory.
