Silver of the tournament - in memory of the defenders of North Caucasus

Freshman of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources of SSAU, master of sports Magomed Bagavdinov distinguished himself at a national tournament in wrestling among adults "Memorial to the defenders of the passes of the Caucasus."

These traditional events are of particular importance, as they are dedicated to the memory of legendary warriors - defenders of our North Caucasus during the Great Patriotic War, and every year bring together the best fighters among adult wrestlers. They are opposed by less experienced athletes who want to perform the qualifying standard of a master of sports of Russia.

This time, at the All-Russian tournament on wrestling "Memorial to the defenders of the passes of the Caucasus" held in early November in Karachai-Cherkess, the second place in the weight category up to 74 kg was won by student of Stavropol State Agrarian University, Master of Sports Bagavdinov. In total, the tournament was attended by around 150 athletes from 15 subjects of the North Caucasus and Central federal districts.

Note that the first-year students of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources of SSAU where Magomed studies, are already famous for the recent victory in the "Freshman Cup" university competition. So silver of the wrestler M. Bagavdinov was another contribution to the treasury of sporting achievements of the faculty freshmen. And although Magomed did not win, the home university sets great hopes on him!
