Veterans held a plenary meeting in the SSAU

In the Stavropol State Agrarian University a special plenum of the City Council of Veterans was held.
The main topic of the meeting was the election of a new chairman. The focus areas of district and primary organizations in preparation for the 71th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War were discussed.

The event began with a moment of silence - since the last plenum the Council of Veterans suffered irreparable losses, Hero of the Soviet Union, the legendary Ivan Shchipakina, chairman Victor Kazachenkov veterans of the City Council, a member of the Great Patriotic War Tamerlan Agzhigitov, activist veteran movement Nikolai Marevsky and Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the air -desantnyh troops,Alexander Moskvitin, left this life.

Many warm words were said about untimely deceased Victor Alexandrovich Lyubov, who worked for many years in the SSAU and gave a lot of effort to the veteran movement.
Petr Ivanovich Kurolesov became a chairman of the City Council of Veterans; he is a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, retired Colonel. Until 1944 he had been serving in the 133rd Infantry Brigade of the Transcaucasian Front. He has 17 government awards. For a long time he was a leader of the Party Committee of the Polytechnic Institute.

Members of the City Council of Veterans expressed words of gratitude to the rector of the Stavropol State Agrarian University V.I. Trukhacheva for the provision of the university hall for a plenary, noting the long-standing good relations between the City Council of Veterans and the Agricultural University.
