Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources commemorated 74 anniversary!

At the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources and the Faculty of Ecology and Landscape Architecture held a solemn meeting of the Academic Council to commemorate the 74th anniversary of the Faculty and the 85th anniversary of Stavropol State Agrarian University.

Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources was opened in 1941 on the basis of Zootechnical Faculty (until 2013 existed as Agronomy). Until 1950, these two faculties were joint, and then became as independent units. Despite the fact that the Faculty has a different name, it has retained its traditions.

The celebration took place in a festive atmosphere. The best students carried the banner of the University and the Faculty. Then the participants paid tribute to veterans of the Great Patriotic War of the Faculty and laid flowers at the memorial. Presentations were made by the graduates of previous years: an honorary citizen of Stavropol Territory, State Duma deputy, chairman of the Regional Council of Veterans, holder of three Orders of Red Banner of Labor Alexei Gonochenko (graduated in 1961); First Deputy Chairman of the Government of Stavropol Territory Nikolai Velikdan (graduated in 1985), deputy of the State Duma of Stavropol Territory, the chairman of the Duma of Stavropol Territory Committee on Agriculture, Honored Worker of Agriculture of Russia, Honorary Citizen of the Stavropol Territory, Professor of SSAU, chairman of SEC farm " Ternovskiy " of Trunovskiy district Ivan Bogachev (graduated in 1974); representative of the Governor of Stavropol Territory Alexander Nagaev (graduated in 1982); First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Stavropol Territory Vasily Egorov (graduated in 2000); Chairman of the State Commission of the Russian Federation for testing and protection of achievements of breeding Vitaly Voloschenko (graduated in 1997); heads of administrations and districts, heads of agricultural enterprises and organizations, chief agronomists of farms.A lot of warm words and wishes for further successful development and prosperity were said to the leadership of the University and the Faculty .
