Students honored the memory those who have died in the Great Patriotic War

On the night of June 22, students of the Stavropol agrarian university took part in the actions devoted to Day of memory and grief.

Together with citizens, they gathered on the Citadel mountain where the action "Memory Candle" passed. The participants of  the meeting laid out the word  "Remember" by lit candles  and laid flowers.

The open-air film was arranged for comers to honor memory. The audience saw one of the best movies of pre-war time "Volga-Volga".

After end of the session, at 4 o'clock, the pre-war waltz began to sound at sunrise, and then howl sirens, sounds of explosions and the message on invasion of army of fascist Germany reminded one of the most tragic minutes of our history.

"Today, on June 22, 1941 at 4 o'clock in the morning, without any declaration of war the German armed forces attacked borders of the Soviet Union" - such words were heard then by our fathers and great-grandfathers, the same words were heard on the Citadel mountain, but already as a reminder about those tragic events. And then after a moment of silence, citizens let out the snow-white pigeons symbolizing the world in the sky.
