Continuity of generations
In honor of the legendary hero’s centenary
Students of the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization took part in the patriotic forum "Man of the Epoch" dedicated to the centenary of the Hero of the Soviet Union’s birth, Marshal Vasily Petrov.
On the 19th of January in honor of the legendary native’s centenary of Stavropol school № 2 village Chernolesskoe was launched the celebrations. Under the metronome sounds all forum participants, among whom were agrarian students hold a moment of silence to the Hero of the Soviet Union Vasily Ivanovich Petrov.
The highlight was the participation of all those present in the action "Banner of Victory". In memory of a great copy of the main cloth has been deployed on the heroism of the Soviet soldiers. Stavropol youth was able to touch the principal symbol of the freedom of the Soviet people - the Red Banner.
Participants of the forum met with episodes of the life of Marshal V. Petrov. Students read poems of his own composition, dedicated to the famous countryman, telling of his personal contribution to the development of the school library. Guests were shown the book of V.I. Petrov " Solemn duty - to defend the Motherland." The forum also held a sports marathon, memory lesson "Man epoch" and the quest that had a Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization of the Agrarian University among students of 8-11 grades.
The boys performed tasks for first aid, showed knowledge of the birth of the Russian army troops, of ranks and insignia differences, answered questions concerning military service. At the station, "Signalman" commands encrypted the proposed phrase in Morse code. The following stations have drawn the historical routes of the Great Patriotic War, using topographical signs. At the stations "Victory Film" and "The songs that we won," laid out in chronological order proposed movie photos, sang songs of the war years.
For the younger generation, this day has become another reason to remember our famous countryman - Hero of the Soviet Union, Marshal of the Soviet Union Vasily Ivanovich Petrov, whose life is an example of true patriotism, selfless performance of duty and love for the country.
