In SSAU the regional stage of All-Russian Olympiad on economy was held

SSAU is the traditional platform for carrying local, regional, national intellectual competitions, contests and quizzes for students.

Last Saturday, at our university we met the winners of the regional stage of the Olympiad in Economics from all corners of the Stavropol Territory. More than 60 children keen on this science, tested their knowledge and fought for a ticket to the final stage of the Olympiad.

All-Russian Olympiad gives winners and awardees great benefits to enroll in college, up to non-competitive enrollment. And the winners of the regional stage of the competition on economy receive additional 3 points in the entrance SSAU test.

All-Russian Olympiad is held in all regions of the Russian Federation. This year it started on January, 14. During the month students will compete in more than twenty subjects. In the All-Russian competition about 6 million students are involved. Last year, the Stavropol schoolchildren showed good results. At the final stage of Olympiad the region was presented by 52 pupils, 24 of them became winners and awardees.

All-Russian Olympiad will be completed in the spring in Moscow. Children who scored the maximum number of points will take part in it. The winner of the final intellectual competition on economy of last year Kirill Mark, e.g., scored 251 points.

The economy of the society is a complex organism, which provides the livelihoods of every person and of society as a whole. We live in the economic environment, use economic terms constantly, talk about the prices, money, income, expenses, marketing, etc. To live and be out of the economy in current conditions is impossible: The better a person is guided in the economic situation, the more successful he is in many areas. However, for this you need to have advanced special economic thinking. Holding of All-Russian Olympiad serves as an effective mechanism for the search of gifted children, helps not only to identify the most talented students, but also creates conditions to support them, including continuing education.
