In Agrarian University everyone goes in for sports!
In Stavropol State Agrarian University the XVI Spartakiad of academic teaching staff members was completed.
The champion was the team of the Faculty of Economics. In second place was Faculty of Agro biology and Land Resources. The third was the team of Faculty of Mechanization in Agriculture. The competitions were held in various sports: street ball, table tennis, chess, volleyball, mini-football, arm sport, darts, national press, relay (athletics), swimming, badminton.
Awarding ceremony was held in the unique university’s sports complex, and started with a parade of teams. The event was opened by Vice Rector for Academic and Educational Work, Associate Professor I.V. Atanov "Stavropol State Agrarian University is the University a Healthy Lifestyle and high sports achievements. Over the last year, our athletes have taken part in more than 500 sporting events and won many different awards". The awards ceremony is traditionally was attended by legendary athletes Stavropol Territory Honored Master of Sports, Honored coach of the USSR on sports acrobatics, the first world champion in acrobatics, vice-president of the Federation of jumping on a trampoline, an honorary citizen of Stavropol and Svetlograd, technical committee member of the European Federation of Gymnastics VA Skakun, and honored master of sports of weightlifting, the winner of the XXVI Olympic Games in Atlanta, the bronze medalist of the XXVII Olympic Games in Sydney, World and European champion, World and Europe record holder and, a multiple winner of the Championship of Russia A.I. Chemerkin. Guests warmly welcomed everyone, noting also the merits of the university sports. Not only the winners of the Games received prizes, but also the most long-standing and active participants. For his great contribution to the promotion of healthy lifestyles, youth policy, for active work on the development of physical culture and sports in FSBEI HE "Stavropol State Agrarian University" was awarded to: Professor of the Department of Ecology and Landscape Architecture N.I. Kornilov, Professor of the Department of Private Animal Husbandry and animal breeding V.F. Vitaliy, assistant professor of crop and selecting department named after F.I. Bobryshov N.S. Chukhlebova, assistant professor of technical services, standardization and metrology Y.M. Shapran, Associate Professor of Economics and Applied Economics Department M.A. Shevhuzhev, Associate Professor of the Application of Electricity in Agriculture Department A.G. Molchanov, Head of the Department of Economic Analysis and Audit Professor M.G. Leshcheva.
We congratulate all the winners and participants of XVI Spartakiad of academic teaching staff members, we admire and appreciate the fact that in their busy schedule, they find time to play sports, keep fit, setting an example to their students.
The event was decorated by dances of known in Stavropol university group "Stylish Things" and show-project "Lucky Student".
