Top darts player of the StGAU- professors of the faculty of agricultural mechanization

As part of the 16th Olympics for staff of the Stavropol State Agrarian University the darts competitions were held.

The competitions were attended by 42 staff members of the university. According to the regulations of the competition each participant had to perform 63 throw in 21 sectors. The most accurate team was the team of the faculty for agricultural mechanization (1347 points), second place won the team of agrobiology and land resources (1317 points), the third place won the team of the faculty for economics (990 points).

Dart refers to the most democratic sport. No wonder that it marches across the globe. The target for darts can be seen in the offices of managers of large organizations, in manufacturing plants and in the homes of ordinary people. Interestingly that the history of darts is associated with the British archers who to pass the long winter evenings come up with fun – throwing shortened arrows at the bottom of the upturned barrel in the local pubs. The best shooter won. For several centuries the game has evolved, wooden targets and arrows were replaced by modern sisal goals and professional darts from a tungsten alloy. These days remaining the national game of England darts grew in popularity all over the world. People of all ages can learn to throw darts for a short period of time. It is a fascinating and entertaining game, the perfect remedy for a great leisure and lift the mood. No wonder that the English say that darts is the game for friends, game among friends, game helping find friends.
