SSAU's students melted the ice with their smiles and passion
Student community of Stavropol SAU organized hot sports event on ice on a cold February day.
The 1st sports festival "Break the ice" was organised by the students of the Agrarian University at the city ice rink "Victoria". Students from all 9 faculties of the university took part in the event.
The festival started with a creative presentation of the teams. Each faculty tried to surprise the members of the jury, showing artistry and ice skating skills. The cup for the best creative item went to the Faculty of hospitality and tourism.
Later the races started, where the teams shoed who was "faster, higher, stronger." The participants had to go through four tests, showing ingenuity, speed and endurance.
The 3rd place was shared by two Faculties – of Economics and Mechanical Engineering, the 2nd place was taken by the Faculty of Electric Power Supply. The main cup was taken by the team of the Faculty of Accounting and Finance.
Georgi Bulatov, a student of the Faculty of Economics, and Anna Belyaeva, a student of the Faculty of Ecology and Landscape Architecture, took the titles of the fastest ones. Igor Shevchenko, a student of the Faculty of Ecology and Landscape Architecture, took the "Best pirouette" award.
It is worth noting that not only athletic performance was assessed, but also the activity of fans. The loudest fans were students of the Faculty of Accounting and Finance. They got a tasty prize from a network of fast food restaurants «Subway».
The festival continued with ninety minutes of free skating for all students.
