Eliminate antibiotics from the menu!
Under this motto the round-table meeting at the Stavropol Territory Office of Russian Agency for Health and Consumer Rights was held; during the meeting presentations were made by Professor of the Agricultural University O. Sycheva.
The event was dedicated to the World day of protection of consumer rights. Head of Russian Agency for Health and Consumer Rights in Stavropol Territory A. Yermakov noted that monitoring of antibiotics content in food is carried out constantly. In 2015, 1074 samples of food products were selected and studied on the antibiotic content. According to the research no exceeding of allowable norms was identified.
Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, professor, head of production technology and processing of agricultural products department of Stavropol State Agrarian University O.Sycheva presented to the participants of the "round table" illustrated message about the Netherlands experience for the production of organic products of livestock.
According to the results of the round table the resolution was prepared. The International Organization for Consumer Protection, defining a second consecutive year the theme of the World Day of Consumers, urges to focus on the consumer's right to a healthy diet, which confirms the continuing concern of the global consumer community about the state of things in this area. Therefore, food safety and quality control should be performed at all stages of their production, storage, transportation, processing and marketing.
