SSAU student became the first at national competitions in athletics among athletes with visual impairment

Magomed Murtuzaliev, 2nd year student of the Faculty of Economics, a graduate of the department of adaptive physical training has won in the All-Russian competition in athletics among athletes with visual impairment in the 100-meters race

Competitions were held in the athletics arena of Novocheboksarsk. Our athlete has run the distance with a score of 7.49 sec. 104 athletes from 24 regions of the country participated in the competition.

The All-Russian competition for the sport of blind was opened by the Deputy Minister of Physical Education and Sports of Chuvashia Boris Atamanov and head coach of the Russian national team for the sport of blind in the discipline “Athletics” Peter Buylov. The athletes competed for the prizes in running at various distances, high jump, long and triple jump.

Preparing for the Paralympic Games has already begun. Athletes, who have passed on their selections, did not play in this competition, because they have been training on the individual program.

The main point before the Paralympic Games will be the Championship of Russia; it will be held in Cheboksary from 1st till 5th June. Team personnel for the Paralympic Games will be determined after the Championship.
