Power lifting - a sport for strong men

In Stavropol, the first master power lifting tournament in which good results showed the students of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, members of the sports club Power lifting «Agrusgl» was held. The coach is a world-class athlete, a senior lecturer of the Physical Education and Sport Department Nina Vyacheslavovna Muhortova.

The winner in the category of 75 kg became a student of the Accounting and Finance Faculty Ekaterina Miroshnikov. She lifted 305 kg, the undergraduate of the Faculty of Farm Mechanization Jaroslav Patuca won in the category of 82 kg. He succumbed to the weight of 532, 5 kg. The absolute champion in the bench press (100 kg) was N.V. Muhortova.

It should be said that the sports club «Agrusgl» has been working at the Agrarian University for more than 20 years, and not only the students but also the guys from other Stavropol schools are engaged.
