SSAU volleyball prizetakers won in Volgograd and reached the final of the VIth Summer Universiade
Men's and women's volleyball teams of Stavropol State Agrarian University confidently defeated rivals in the zonal competitions in volleyball among women's and men's teams in the framework of the VIth Summer Universiade among universities of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. The competitions were held from 16th to 18th May 2016 in Volgograd on the basis of Volgograd State Agricultural University.
Now they will defend the honor of the university in the Universiade final in Krasnodar, which will be held in early June.
In zonal competitions participated 4 women and 3 men's teams.
In the first round of the women's team SSAU in a bitter struggle defeated the team of Donskoy SAU with a score of 3: 2. In the second round of our girls defeated rivals from Astrakhan ASTU team with the score 3: 0. In the third round, we confronted the home team - Volgograd State University of Agriculture, in the series for the benefit of our students 3: 0.
In the men's championship team of our university hosts beat the first area - the team of Volgograd State Agrarian University (3: 0), and then defeated the team from Astrakhan State Technical University with a score of 3: 0.
We wish continued success to our sportsmen! In the zonal competitions in basketball were the best guys of SSAU, who will also go to Krasnodar in the final games.
