Silver medal for the future of the candidate for the master of sports on powerlifting

Second year student of the Faculty of Economics Kseniya Chernova on 15th October in the town of Pyatigorsk has shown good results in the Open Championship and Cup of the Stavropol Territory in powerlifting.

The competition, which was attended by over 100 athletes, Ksenia took the second place in the weight category up to 52 kg for women. The triathlon student of Stavropol State Agrarian University has collected a total of 290 kg, thus fulfilling the specification of the candidate for the master of sports on powerlifting.

This girl is engaged in sport for years. While still a student of 9th grade school № 1 in Georgievsk, learned the basics of powerlifting under coach A.V. Kukushkin. In the Stavropol State Agrarian University Xenia has been under the direction of award-winning coach Nina Vyacheslavovna Mukhortova, master of sports of international class.

Speaking about his future plans, student K. Chernov said: «The competition allowed the participants to gain admission to the zonal championship of the Southern Federal District and the North Caucasian Federal District – powerlifting championships, which will take place in my hometown Georgievsk in December 2016».
