"Modern youth and morality"

Students of Stavropol State Agrarian University took an active part in interuniversity scientific-practical conference "Modern youth and morality."

The audience was greeted by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Stavropol Orthodox Theological Seminary hegumen Alexei (Smirnov). He gave the blessing of the rector of the theological school Metropolitan Kirill of Stavropol and Nevinnomyssk. Later in his speech, he stressed that today the society needs the definition of moral guidelines, and the presence of morality is a central pillar in the "development of humaneness in man."

Students of Stavropol State Agrarian University made reports and presentations. Arina Kotova (2^nd year student, Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources) tried to highlight the theme "Moral values of today's youth." Inna Kuliyeva (3^rd year student, Faculty of Accounting and Finance, the head of the volunteer group "Volunteer") spoke about the role of volunteerism in the spiritual and moral formation of the youth of today". The subject of the report and presentation of Alena Alefirenko (2^nd year student, Faculty of Accounting and Finance, member of the group "Volunteer") - "Towards a culture of dignity through a culture of tolerance."

In their speeches, students noted the importance of the formation and development of such moral qualities as mercy to people with disabilities, compassion for children in difficult situations, respect for the elderly and the willingness to help them. These qualities are developed systematically in students of the Agrarian University through involvement in various volunteer events, volunteer activities of groups of university "Care," "Sense," "Volunteer." All reports combined the age-old idea: "Do you want to feel like a man - help others." It is clear and close to those who are familiar with the sense of justice, who understands that to make a better society is possible only by joint efforts of everyone.

The conference was attended by freshmen of the Faculty of Economics studying the program "Management", they have already made their first steps in the student's life.

The conference was also attended by students of Stavropol Theological Seminary, North-Caucasian Federal University, Stavropol State Pedagogical Institute, the Institute of friendship between the peoples of the Caucasus.

Participation and performance of students at the conference was organized by the employees of the department for educational work and social issues - Head of the Department Tatyana Gunko and leading specialist Svetlana Yurchenko.
