Keep distance on road and in life

All-Russian company "Distance" was successfully completed in the Stavropol State Agrarian University on April 28. The event was attended by more than 300 students from various faculties and listeners of driving schools of the University.

It is known that one of the main factors of road accidents is not the car itself, and the person who operates it. "Distance" is aimed at changing behavior and the formation of common culture of all road users in Russia. The campaign aims to highlight the problems of drivers and pedestrians behavior and to identify possible ways to solve them, give rise to discussion at the public and national levels, to form the basis for the formation of culture and the right habits on the road.

The action participants watched an educational film on keeping a distance on the road. University students in two days in the format of experiments and laboratory classes learned about the principles of calculating the stopping distance, time, human reactions and the effect of these factors on the maneuverability of the vehicle, and ultimately, on human life. A pleasant surprise for all students was a gift from the organizers - bags with reflective tape and lanterns with logo of National project «Distance».

Large-scale social action "Distance" is held in all federal districts of Russia in order to reduce the number of traffic accidents occurring due to improper selection or non-compliance with the safe distance of a variety of road conditions.
Its organizers are the State Automobile Inspectorate Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and the Russian Union of Auto Insurers with information support of Expertise Center "Movement without danger".
