Scientists of the Stavropol State Agrarian University met with the scientific developments of Swiss colleagues

Associate Professor of Chemistry and Plant Protection N.N. Glazunov, a member of the expert council of the scientists of the South of Russia, the head of the partnership program with the company "Syngenta", visited the research centers of the company "Syngenta" in the Swiss city Stein as a member of the Russian delegation.

During the visit, the Russian scientists and representatives of the branches of the State Organization "Russian Agricultural Center" got acquainted with the modern methods of research and diagnostics, the latest scientific developments in the field of biology and agriculture. We visited the research centers on the modeling and study of the toxicity of the new molecules of the active ingredients of pesticides, to verify the toxicological properties of insecticides, to study the climatic stress factors on agricultural plants for the production of fungicides for the treatment of seeds, as well as visited the research center for the study broomrape.

During a business trip a round table took place, where scientists of the two countries discussed the current trends of formation of crop protection in Russia, as one of the world leaders in the production of agricultural products. During the discussion, it was noted that it was important to take care of the crop at all stages of crop development, introducing intensive technologies of cultivation, using world-class research and development. This approach improves crop productivity, protect the environment and improve health and quality of life.
