September 20, 2015 in Vilnius (Lithuania) has opened an international forum of producers and processors of milk. The forum was attended by delegates from 45 countries.
The delegation of Stavropol State Agrarian University headed by the rector, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Vladimir Trukhachev.
The delegation also includes Professor Nikolai Zlidnev and Professor Sergey Oleynik.
The Minister of Agriculture of Lithuania Virginia Baltraytiene opened the summit, in her report she informed about the directions of the European farmers to increase milk production and improve product quality. This year's summit is being held under the theme: "Overcoming nutritional deficiency through sustainable development of the dairy industry."
Scientists of Stavropol Sate Agrarian University will present at the forum their projects relating to the use of genetic resources in dairy cattle production. They are made on the basis of regional selection and technological center of dairy farming, working at the University.
