Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation M.M. Kotyukov visited Stavropol State Agrarian University

Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mikhailovich Kotyukov and State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Ivan V. Lebedev visited the Stavropol Region with a working visit. They familiarized themselves with the work of Stavropol State Agrarian University and evaluated the scientific potential of the university.

The rector of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Vladimir Trukhachev conducted a tour of the university.

Together with the Governor of the Stavropol Territory, Vladimir Vladimirov, the distinguished guests familiarized themselves with the mobile educational and research laboratories of the university: an emergency veterinary aid car, equipped with modern veterinary equipment; specialized laboratory car selection of milk quality control; ATV for soil sampling for contract work and scientific research; mobile laboratory ENERGOAUDITA.

Further, representatives of the faculties of the university presented to the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation their innovative developments and projects in the field of biotechnological methods of genomic selection when creating new breeds and types of highly productive animals, biological safety, systems for responding to biological threats, introducing innovative methodologies aerospace digital technology for accelerated development of pasture livestock, the use of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) for locust control, and many others.

Mikhail Kotyukov and Ivan Lebedev highly appreciated the scientific and educational potential of scientists at the Stavropol State Agrarian University, in their comments they noted that the experience of the presented developments would be very useful for the implementation of the national project "Science".

Then the guests visited the future lecture halls, laboratory classes and material and technical equipment of the scientific library for 720 places of the new building under construction.

“Every year our university in the country,” commented the Governor of Stavropol V.V. Vladimirov. “Thanks to the developments of the university scientists, the region manages to keep a high level of development of the agricultural sector and the agro-industrial complex. It produces thousands of competent, in-demand, talented specialists who go to work for the good of the region and the country,” Vladimir Trukhachev said. - And we are doing everything to create the most comfortable conditions for students, allowing them to study well, develop, move forward science and implement start-up projects.
