Vice-rector for academic and educational work, associate professor of Stavropol State Agrarian University I.V. Atanov visited with a delegation of Stavropol Territory the V International Economic Summit "Affordable Food for All", which was held in India.
In Expocentre of the World Trade Centre in Mumbai there were brought together representatives of agribusiness of over 30 countries to discuss key issues and challenges of agriculture, food and allied industries. Stavropol delegation was headed by Deputy Chairman of the Krai Government A.Yu. Murga.
During the working visit of our delegation I.V. Atanov visited specialized exhibitions, conferences, industry and the public University of Mumbai, one of India's most prestigious universities, founded in 1857 by the British colonial administration. "Some of the achievements of Indian colleagues in the organization of the conditions for the educational process in higher education may serve as a good example for our university," - said I.V. Atanov. He also spoke about the results of the summit as a whole, about the work of the delegation of Stavropol Territory on discussion sites, and about visits to farms and agro-industrial parks.
In the report on the visit, he noted that the format of the summit is not only a platform for meetings with potential business partners, the platform for effective dialogue and interaction between businesses, government and business, but also a tremendous opportunity to share experiences and knowledge.
In addition to the business areas, the program of the summit was to get acquainted with the sights of the city of Mumbai. The main ones are India Gate, built in honor of the visit to the country in 1924 by King George V and Queen Mary, Prince of Wales Museum, which houses a large collection of artifacts of Indian art, the ensembleof cave Buddhist monastery Katherti created in the period from II to IX century AD.
