For the second year Agrarian University receives the journalistic community - representatives of regional and regional mass media in the framework of a large press conference of the governor of Stavropol Territory V.V. Vladimirov.

Today, this event coincided with the Day of the Russian press. After the press conference there was a dedicated to the holiday of awarding diplomas and letters of gratitude from the Governor of Stavropol, the regional Duma, Committee of Culture, Youth Policy, Physical Culture and media of the Duma of Stavropol Territory. The holiday was established by the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Russian Federation dated 28 December 1991, associated with the historic date - the beginning of the publication of the first Russian printed newspaper "Vedomosti", founded by the decree of Peter the Great. January 2, 1703 (January 13, New Style) in Moscow, the first issue of the Russian-language printing of the newspaper "Vedomosti" appeared, which was called the "Bulletin of the military and other matters worthy of knowledge and memory that occurred in Muscovy and in other neighboring countries." Peter the Great considered the newspaper as an important means of struggle for reforms and approval power of the Russian Empire.
