“To love and take care of our land!”

In the hall of the Academic Council of SSAU the press conference of the governor of Stavropol Territory V.V. Vladimirov was held. On the press conference the head of the region summed up the results of last year and shared his plans for the next 12 months.

The press conference was attended by over 120 regional journalists, reporting more than 60 mass media. Within a half of an hour the head of the region was given more than two dozen questions.

Returning to the events of 2015, Governor V.V. Vladimirov has thanked all mass media for their coverage of the 70th anniversary of the victory, noting that a year has passed under the auspices of the historical memory. The head of the Stavropol Territory noted a number of achievements and positive trends. Among them, he carried the performance of all social obligations, constructive work on the regional budget for 2016 with a reduction of the deficit in half, agricultural progress in the region. Record harvest - more than 9 million tons of cereals and legumes. "Very quickly we develop greenhouse and processing complexes, laying the gardens out" - the governor said.

Speaking about the plans for 2016, V.V. Vladimirov outlined a number of key priorities, including execution of the May decrees of the President of Russia, implementation of the program of resettlement of old and dilapidated housing, providing housing for orphans. Despite the difficult economic situation, the Government of Stavropol Territory continues to support programs for agribusiness and import substitution, the development of the Caucasian Mineral Waters. Block of social questions touched upon expansion of the youth associations, support of culture, sports, construction of perinatal centers and other social facilities.

The governor answered all the questions of the journalists, not overlooking the sharp themes. Concluding the press conference, he said that it was very important to set the inertia of motion in 2016 and expressed the hope that the territorial and regional mass media objectively and quickly would cover the events and activities of the regional government. V.V. Vladimirov appealed journalistic community which is so different and diverse, in spite of any particular to love and care for our land.

The official part of the event moved to the award ceremony of the distinguished mass media representatives, dedicated to the Day of the Russian press.
