"Academicians of" choral singing

In the days of Epiphany in the SSAU the honoring of Folk Academic Choir staff and faculty members took place, who became the winner of the International Festival Competition «The art unites the world - Christmas Olympus» in Sochi.

University Rector V. Trukhachev, members of administration, invited guests, among whom was the Director of all-Russian Research Institute for sheep and goat breeding М. Selionova congratulated the laureates. Vladimir Trukhachev turned to the musicians with warm welcoming speech, He also thanked the head, Honored Artist of Russia V. Korotkov for the successful performance of the choir in Sochi and at the biggest festival religious music, which took place in the Kazan Cathedral of Stavropol.

- In Sochi 128 teams from all Russia perfprmed, 18 – in the category "choral singing", and you were the best, - the rector said. – It couldn’t be otherwise, because you’re working at the besy agrarian university of Russia. Your greatest success is love of the audience, the love to your art, to the song. Choral singing always united the people, gave them a feeling of elation and fraternal harmony.

The choir is like a tool with many voices, it can express barely audible echo of human emotions, the jubilation of victory or the greatness of the immortal human soul. Russia was always the country of singing. It is believed that in choral singing sorrow and grief, joy and hope, faith and happiness seemed to pour out of the human soul. SSAU team performs songs a cappella, which demonstrates a high skill of artists. Choir Director Korotkov referring to the rector expressed his gratitude:

- You are always worrying with the heart and soul for our choir. On behalf of the entire team I would like to thank for this support. In difficult economic times, you find the opportunity to give us a chance to perform on the big song festivals, and the choir has no right to disappoint you.

Letter of appreciation for the highest contribution to the culture was given to the University rector, conservation of national traditions and customs, and support and assistance in the organization of the choir at the International Festival-Competition « The art unites the world - Christmas Olympus» in Sochi.

Creative meeting ended with Russian folk song in A. Lukanin version “Kak po moriy” and Easter traditional chant "Christ is risen", performed by Folk academic choir of staff and teachers of SSAU.
