The 4th year student of Accounting and Finance Faculty of the subject matter "Finance, credit and insurance" participated in a business game, "There is such a profession - the insurer."
The curators of the event were Head of the student insurance agency, Ph.D., associate professor S.G. Shmatko, teacher of "Finance, credit and insurance" and the representatives of the branch of OOO "Rossgosstrah" in the Stavropol Territory.
Insurance business in our country is young; it is gaining strength and is in the process of dynamic development. However, the profession of insurer with each passing day becomes more and more prestigious.
The expert insurers, I.N. Sidorenko and M. S Mironov told the students about the features of the profession of the insurer, the most important qualities that should have a specialist in this field.
Great interest among children caused excursion into the history of the insurance business. Curiously, the first professional insurers appeared in the XIII century. They were Italian merchants and bankers charged "price of risk" (later called the insurance premium) with the Mariners and other traders by sea freight. They contributed to the birth of the insurance contract (the first of which was issued in 1347 on the shipping of Genoa on the island of Majorca), and offer them to the bankers and traders were the first insurers.
As part of the business game, participants were asked to describe how they see the perfect workplace insurance professionals, as well as compelling reasons in favor of their layouts.
Talented, active, well-established, students were invited for an internship in an insurance company.
