Well-known Stavropol journalists visited the students - Members of the Literary Club of the SSAU.
The topic of the evening – the memories of one of the oldest representatives of the Soviet and Russian journalism, a member of the Union of Journalists of Russia, three times winner of the prestigious journalistic contest n.a. Herman Lopatin, PhD, a writer Nikolay Semenovich Mar'yevskiy.
Club meeting was held in the Winter Garden of the SSAU. A lot of guests told students about Master of Stavropol Journalism: members of the Russian Union of Journalists, colleagues and fellow writers among them a poet, an essayist S.M. Livinsky, an honored builder of Stavropol, the winner of the “Red Banner of Labour” award, a co-author of 20 books V.E. Grigoriev, a famous television journalist, a former director of the Stavropol television studio V.S. Zavgorodniy.
During the Great Patriotic War Nikolay Semenovich was a child; he worked in his native village Ivanovo, Kochubeevsky district. He began a journalist career in newspaper "Red Flag." of the North Caucasian Military District in 1956. Then he worked in "Nevinnomysskiy Worker", "Stavropol Pravda", "Young Leninist". In 1983 Mar'yevskiy was appointed as the chairman of the Stavropol Regional Committee for Television and Radio. Ten years he was teaching "Journalism" in the Stavropol State University. For many years he headed the Ethics Council of the regional branch of the Union of Journalists of Russia, released the author's program on the regional radio "On the waves of my memory." Guests of the evening listened to the fragments of the program and songs by Nicholas Marevskogo on the poems by Stavropol poets.
His daughter, Olga Marevskaya, presented University Library Fund his book "On the waves of my memory" with unique material about the Stavropol Territory, its workers, famous scientists and people of art and culture.
Director of the Scientific Library of the SSAU M.V. Obnovlenskaya thanked the family of the writer, and expressed confidence that the book will be interesting to a wide audience, as well as serve as a good helper for students interested in the history of their native land.
Meeting of the Club was held with the organizational support from the Vice Chancellor for Academic and Educational work, I.V. Atanov, the head of the department of educational work, T.I. Gunko, the university press service department and technical support of the educational process.
