Within a matter of roundtable discussion "Basis of accounting regulation", students of the Faculty of Accounting and Finance discussed the current regulatory system in Russia - legal regulation.

roundtable discussion is one of the organizational forms of cognitive activity of students, allowing to fix previously obtained knowledge form the ability to solve problems. The main purpose of the meeting was the development of students' professional skills to express ideas, to argue the proposed solutions and to defend their beliefs.
The guys came to the conclusion that during the years of accounting reform have been significant changes. However, the potential reform is far from exhausted, and should continue to change in order to create more suitable conditions and prerequisites for a coherent and successful implementation of the accounting system of its inherent functions in the Russian economy. On how timely and reasonable development of new and adjusted the old norms in the field of accounting, will depend on the quality of financial statements and, consequently, the cost-effectiveness of the decisions.
