Rector of SSAU V.I. Trukhachev awarded the Diploma of the Russian President and commemorative medal «XXII Olympic Winter Games and XI Paralympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi"

Awarding was held under the board meeting of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Stavropol Territory. The commemorative medal was awarded to the Rector of the University, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Honored Worker of Science of the Russian Federation, Honorary Citizen of Stavropol Territory; Deputy of Duma of Stavropol Territory, to Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev for his significant contribution to the preparation and holding of the XXII Winter Olympic Games and XI Paralympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi.

Collegium was chaired by the Minister of Physical Education and Sports Stavropol Territory R.K. Markov, it was also attended by the leaders of the industry governing bodies of municipal districts and urban districts, federations and youth sports schools, outstanding athletes and coaches of Stavropol Territory, the organizers of the sports movement, the employees of the structural units of physical culture and sports.

At the meeting it was noted that in the province there is a fundamental basis for the preparation of Olympic athletes. One example is the Agricultural University, which is carried out systematic work on the development of physical culture, promotion of sports and strengthening the material-technical base.

Among the achievements of professional athletes that have won in the past year, 373 medals, a great contribution of athletes Agrarian University, among them to get exactly the license to travel to Rio de Janeiro at the XXXI Olympic Games David Bejanyan (weightlifting) and Evgeny Kuznetsov (diving) . They were awarded with the Medal "Glory of Stavropol Territory Sport", diplomas and sports equipment.

Also memorable diploma and sports equipment in the "Best Athlete" in the category of "Adaptive Sports" recognition and reward was a graduate of the Faculty of Agronomy, honored master of sports of athletics, two-time champion of Deaflympics Kirill Tsybizov.
